Heated Pool Mid-Century Oasis: for the biggest groups

Heated Pool Mid-Century Oasis is a 4,000-square-foot mid-century modern home with a classic L-shaped layout. The fully renovated kitchen sits at the center of the house and has two sinks and two ovens, plus there's a separate kitchenette with laundry. Living spaces run in both directions from the kitchen, there's a big dining area next to a pass-through fireplace, and a bedroom wing sits at each end of the house. The listing calls it "a perfect setup for two families sharing one house, or 3-5 couples sharing the space for a reunion."

Out back is a professionally designed yard with a custom Gunite saltwater pool, a waterfall, a huge playground, a grill and outdoor dining. Lights cover the whole yard and pool, so evenings can keep going after sunset. Inside are a 75-inch 4K TV, video games and a piano.

Beds: three bedrooms with a king, one with two queens, one with a bunk bed and an air mattress, and one with a crib and an air mattress. It sleeps up to 16.

One guest summed it up: "The house was wonderful for our group and the salt water pool was the star of the show for both the kiddos and adults."

Pool Paradise: Mid Mod Luxury Oasis is a 3,400+ square-foot mid-century modern home on a cul-de-sac in the Richland Acres / Brierwood area, which the listing describes as a peaceful East Memphis neighborhood. It's about 5 minutes from Whole Foods, Hog & Hominy and Central BBQ, and about 15 minutes from downtown.

The fenced backyard has a custom Gunite pool, a deck and dining area, mature landscaping, a fire pit, a hammock and sun loungers. Inside are a large 4K TV, a fireplace, a piano, board games and a kitchen with a wine fridge and an ice maker.

Beds: two king bedrooms, a queen bedroom, and a bunk room with two bunk beds, plus a couch and a sleeper sofa in the living room. It sleeps up to 12. Pool Paradise is single-level.

A guest who stayed for work wrote that it "was a much nicer and more comfortable option than the hotels around."

• Both homes include Wi-Fi, linens and towels, and air conditioning. Pool Paradise lists self check-in with a smart lock.
• Smoking is not allowed.
• Cancellation: 100% refund more than 45 days before arrival, 50% more than 7 days before, and no refund within 7 days. There's a 24-hour free-cancellation grace period if arrival is at least 10 days away.
